David Swinford
State Representative David Swinford is an agricultural consultant from the Texas Panhandle who was first elected in 1990 to the Texas House of Representatives. Swinford represents District 87, which includes Carson, Moore, and Sherman counties and populous Potter County. Representative Swinford is currently a member of the Agriculture and Livestock committee and the committee on State Affairs.Â
Representative Swinford obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural education from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He is married to the former Joyce McCoy and they have two children, David and Melissa.
