“While jobs, the budget and taxes may dominate the 81st Legislature, protecting and defending the rights and dignity of the unborn are the cornerstones of our efforts to safeguard life and liberty in Texas.   As President of the Texas Conservative Coalition, I encourage all members to sign on as co-authors of Senate Bill 182 or House Bill 36, authored by Sen. Dan Patrick (R-Houston) and Rep. Frank Corte Jr. (R-San Antonio).  Those bills would ensure that every pregnant woman be given the opportunity to listen to the heartbeat and view an ultrasound image of her unborn child at least two hours prior to proceeding with the abortion procedure.  Our shared cultural life will flourish once respect for innocent human life is held dear by all.�
