State Reps. Bill Callegari (R-Katy) and John Zerwas (R-Richmond) will co-host a town hall meeting with the Texas Conservative Coalition to begin the process of crafting a conservative agenda for the next session of the Texas Legislature.
The meeting will take place 7 - 9 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Powerhouse Christian Center in Katy.
In addition to Callegari and Zerwas, other state and local legislators are expected to be in attendance.
The meeting will focus on how "big government" efforts have failed in Washington and California and what those failures could mean to Texas and the local area.
Area residents are encouraged to attend the meeting where local legislators will lay out ideas "to keep Texas a shining beacon of economic strength and moral values," according to organizers. Attendees will have an opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions as TCC, Callegari and Zerwas begin drafting a conservative agenda for the Texas Legislature.
The next legislative session will convene in January of 2011.
The Powerhouse Christian Center is located at 1818 Katyland Dr. in Katy.
