  • House Bill 150 (Capriglione, et al. | SP: Parker) establishes the Texas Cyber Command to prevent and respond to cybersecurity incidents that affect governmental entities and critical infrastructure in Texas.

  • Senate Bill 1964 (Parker | SP: Capriglione) creates a framework and guardrails for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) systems within government to include the creation of an AI code of ethics and minimum standards for AI systems making important decisions, the development of a public outreach program on AI, and the establishment of an advisory board to assist state agencies with the use of AI.
